It started as a workshop. It became a family business.

Eagle Point Publishing didn't begin as the business it is today. It began as my workshop, a place where I built software because I enjoyed solving problems.

How Eagle Point became ours.

I've spent nearly three decades leading technology and business operations for organizations where downtime, missed handoffs, and bad information cost real money. Eagle Point was where I built things for myself. Voyage Keeper, our cruise logbook app, came out of that workshop. What To Do In The City (WTD) followed, turning five quick questions into one of the best planning tools you'll find for what to do in Portland or Seattle. That's where the "Publishing" in the name historically came from. In addition to helping small businesses use automation to make more money, keep more of what they make, and get time back, Eagle Point publishes software designed to make people's lives easier and more enjoyable.

Then my son wanted to join me and build the business together. As a business owner and a father, I couldn't have asked for anything better.

After my son, Billy Martin III (B3), graduated from Chico State with a degree in Business Finance and decided to move to Portland, we started talking seriously about what Eagle Point could become. I brought years of experience building systems, improving operations, and putting new technology to work. B3 brought the drive to work directly with business owners and turn that experience into something useful for them. The workshop became a company.

He works at the front of the business, from the first conversation through the proposal and the day-to-day relationship. I do all of the building and process optimization for our customers behind the scenes. When something needs to be fixed, I may be the one working through the automation or the software, but B3 is the one who owns the customer's experience.

I may be the founder, but my son is the face of Eagle Point Publishing, and I couldn't be prouder.

When you work with Eagle Point, you're working with a father and son team who understand your small business needs.

How we work.

We start with one problem you can see and measure, fix it, and build from there. A monthly retainer keeps that work moving forward, constantly helping you optimize your business while delivering value greater than the invoice. We look for the next useful improvement, manage the automations already in place, and measure the time or money each change returns.

  • Dependable. Tell us what you need and it gets done. No constant check-ins, no surprises on the invoice.
  • Business-minded, not tech-minded. Every recommendation is grounded in what it does for your sales, your customers, and your margin.
  • Partner, not vendor. Low ego, high collaboration. We amplify what you're already doing. We don't replace it.
